Lexus IS - subcompact "luxury" car from Toyota Motor Corporation, was introduced to take the slot below the ES, to become a direct competitor to the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedans. IS 2006 was equipped with a V twin engine 4GR-FSE producing 208 hp with Dual VVT-i. It had 6-speed automatic gearbox with sequential shift and rear-wheel drive. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h took 8.1 seconds, top speed 220 km/h.
